I got into a car accident yesterday. It wasn’t pretty, but thankfully I’m OK and no one else was hurt. My car is totally fucked up so have a ton of stuff I have to handle tomorrow morning (this is my first accident, not sure what to do. If anyone has some advice I’m all ears. Tweet @ me). Physically I’m fine. But If I’m being honest with myself mentally I’m not 100% yet. So many things going through my head…. “What if I did this.. What if I did that… What happens next time if I’m not so lucky” etc etc. As we all know after a big loss / blowup trade we question everything. The emotional feeling is no different. But a good friend of mine said to compare this to a black swan trade. Can’t beat yourself up on it. Its done. ITS OVER. Nothing will change now. Need to focus on the positives, take this as a lesson and MOVE ON. The more we overthink after a loss the more we hurt ourselves mentally. The more we overthink after an accident the more we hurt ourselves mentally as well. I’m thankful to have walked away without a scratch, and even more thankful that no one was hurt. Yes the car that I worked hard for, the car that I sat in when I was upset to feel better, the car that I used to symbolize success early on is gone but better that than me. This is what trading prepares us for. I’ve been here before emotionally with DRYS & DCIX losses and I know I can get through it. For those that know me they know that cars are my passion and my obsession. I know every detail about every car out there. Especially the fast ones. Sure, driving again so soon is going to feel weird, but I cant let this one accident ruin my love and passion for cars. Need to realize that life is random. One second you can be out getting coffee with a friend, then 5 minutes later your life can be over in the blink of an eye. Be thankful, stay humble. ALWAYS. Keep this in mind in your trading as well. One small slip up can end everything as quickly as it started. We all suffer through downhill experiences in life, but if we let it consume us were not really living at all.
MARA: Holy shit!! We are in the crack market again. Shippers were the previous sector to have ran like crazy now its crypto. Ideally a weak open near $6.00 to go long before the move to $10… crazy. NOT interested in shorting this sucker until a $10.00 parabolic. Stay safe out there on the short side. Lots of volume on this especially on a 1/2 day. Has me thinking higher coming. (Keep in mind stock is a POS, wouldn’t be long overnight on this)
SRAX: Shorts in a bind here as well. Monday is day 3. If we have another parabolic near $10.00 would be looking to short it. Not looking to get long this thing. Especially on day 3. Ideally a big jam in the morning. ENTRY ENTRY ENTRY is everything.
RIOT: Another holy shit chart!! $30.00 parabolic in the morning for the short and sit back. Remember, were in a “Nail and Bail” market on the short side. Plan your entry, stay small, take the small wins on the scalps, then when backside hits, stays heavy under vwap, there is PLENTY of downside room to size into this short. Don’t be early. This should be a REALLY good one soon.
LMFA: No major bias on this one yet. Float is super low. 1M right? I WILL NOT chase weakness on this short. Ideally a morning ramp $6.50s , fail, start in short, scalp it until VWAP fails and backside comes in. Due to the low float I wont be using size on this. BUT if $7s break, all bets are off and it can EASILY go to $10. Make a plan and stick to it. DONT BE STUBBORN!
