Hey everyone, welcome back to another Sunday Scan. We have a busy week coming up with big tech earnings and the Fed interest rate meeting, so there should be some fireworks. Also, there are tons of sectors moving – AI-energy stocks, quantum names, and crypto, so there is no shortage of action.
We have Emil joining us this week to talk about what he’s seeing in the market, his top stocks on watch, and some setups he likes to trade. Let’s get right into it.
Video Scan & Game Plan
Main Watches
Potential big picture long swings PATH PENN ROKU U all have long bases established, so interested in watching for a swing long if they start to build and break out. All about finding a tight risk area while the names start to get going, usually with a catalyst.
PLTR on watch for exhaustion into resistance and sit back for a possible short.
China names BABA PDD TIGR FUTU Trump seems to be going easy on China while trying to get some international conflicts settled, so the tariff risk has dropped for the moment and these names are catching a bid.
Quantum RGTI IONQ daily view looks like they may have just done a large clear out over the last 2 weeks. Looking for them to start to have a character shift and get weaker for a fade.
AI energy OKLO SMR one of the hottest themes again while the AI infrastructure headlines continue to roll in. Money is flowing to these names so interested in dips for continuation until eventually a mean reversion trade to the downside presents itself, either near a large options expiration or if they get overextended enough.
DJT looking weak and on watch for a fade down. The Trump meme coin took a lot of the attention and money from DJT which used to be the go-to proxy for that narrative (chart doesn’t pull up for this one).
Earnings AAPL TSLA META big moments for a lot of these companies. AAPL has been struggling so if it has bad earnings it can really get hit. If earnings are good then it is sitting at support and may rally back. No hard bias, just want to see the earnings.
Crypto COIN MSTR relative strength and weakness in the sector. I like having them both on watch depending on what crypto is doing that day/week.
@ Emil: on Monday, if PLTR does not push higher but rather gaps down, how would you react (if at all)?
