Lots of movement out there all different market cap ranges. NVDA and AI names leading for upside, PLTR unwinding some, Quantum may have a blow off move this week, and SOUN is turning down. I really think the key to this market is just not having many assumptions. Something is weak, play it while it lasts but don’t assume it will stay weak. Same if something is strong. There are a lot of moving parts so just staying on your toes and picking your set ups and spots helps.
These small caps have been on fire too so I may turn my focus even more to those than the large caps unless there is a big clear move. Robotics and high volume movers top of list. Also, if you miss a big run on the long side, keep on watch for liquidity traps a few days from now. Just build your list and set ups.
CES2025 will have a ton of headline plays tomorrow too so keep an eye out and categorize the play and compare to other recent news and runners for a guide for range and path forward.
