Guys as you know it’s been one hell of a start to 2014
I’ve wanted to do a bunch more blog post this year … more trading recaps, Saturday morning mailbag and much more BUT the opportunity right now in the market is like never before.
I still owe a blog post on my trading goals for 2014 … that’s in the works!
I’m seeing traders change their lives before my eyes and it’s incredibly humbling and aspiring at the same time.
In my entire trading career I’ve never seen it this wild! Sure, I’m only 28 (almost 29) and wasn’t around for the 99-00 boom but … was definitely part of some wild moves … but nothing as crazy as it’s been lately.
I keep talking to traders about ‘man I hope this doesn’t end’ … ‘it’s gotta slow down’ … ‘hope it keeps up’ and we keep thinking it’s over or slowing down only to have another record week … but each and every day the market sets up yet another two, three or four PERFECT set ups straight off my text book trading DVD to take advantage of the next morning!
One of the best things that’s happened to my business was meeting Cam!
For those of you who don’t know him he’s a trader in the Investors Underground community and has been for a LONG time.
We first started to really talk and have daily conversation after this loss.
Yes ……….. OUCH!
Ouch it still stings today!
So what the hell was it? Well .. it was an AwesomePennyStocks pump back when they used to trick folks into guessing whether it was the “real” play or the “fake” play.
If you’re not familiar picture this: You own 20 domain names and go out to 100% of them saying you have a pick coming SOON and the email is the same across all domains — then … you send it to ONE out of the 10 to “fake” the real pick and cover ANOTHER ticker in the other 19 email databases … make sense?
Probably not .. but long story short .. they screwed everyone! RARS came out to ONE of the list and who wouldn’t assume that they’d send it out to the other 19 list right? (We had it ALL figured out … or did we?)
I was long and strong up $40,000 on RARS Thursday night …. in about an hours work
Thursday night they went out with SNPK (different ticker) to the other 9 list that EVERYONE had already assumed would be RARS
That morning we woke up to a nice gap down and got ABSOLUTELY clobbered
So ya, that’s where it began .. and Cam reached out and said “bro …… I went too big on this one I may be done”
He still had a bit of capital left so we chatted .. and chatted much like I do every day with the guys in my chat room
We kept the energy positive much like you see with @coreykindhart @MileHigh_Trades @crawfish_poboy @cuzmane and so many more in the chat room … focusing on trading WELL, patting each other and every other member on the back when things are great but more importantly … when things suck – we’re there for each other and pick each other up
Before you knew it a few months later Cam was back at highs and slowly grinding his way to success
So that’s great .. so how does it tie in?
Well he knew I was making excuses to Timothy Sykes for one …. two .. three .. almost four years as to why I didn’t have a DVD too. Let’s face it, the number of subscribers in my chat room that were fortunate enough to already have a solid foundation built from Tim’s DVDs was immense and …. I knew that. I realized it was important to create a product that could be compounded into ONE location from A to Z.
After seeing the success that his students had after watching his DVD’s and drive for MORE (thus ending up in my chat) it only made sense to create a product for those serious about trading.
Well Cam reached out, called me out and said BRO .. “seriously what the hell, lets get this done I will help you since you helped me let’s figure this shit out and make it happen” I sorta blew off the idea at first … like he had any experience in video right?
Ha, was I ever surprised …
Fast forward until today and here we are inspiring nearly 700 traders with the DVD and basic foundation needed to become a successful and consistent trader.
Between Timothy Sykes understanding of what traders needed to succeed and Cam’s incredible drive to make Investors Underground the number one trading community on the internet … I owe MOST (I’ll take a little credit) but… MOST of my success to these two guys!
